I spent over a decade as a research scientist and engineer at the UK Ministry of Defence located in London, before moving back to Ellon and opening my own bicycle repair workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;ve been a keen cyclist since my teens and was completely car-free in London, relying on my bicycles for commuting, utility and leisure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My own bike box currently contains a Cannondale Synapse road bike, a Whyte 901 mountain bike, a Ribble TT bike, a Giant Defy road bike, and my oldest, a Marin Fairfax hybrid.
